Kim Huibin Ma

Senior Product Owner · Certified Scrum Product Owner · Berlin

I lead products like a founder: from the first customer problem to stable, standard software.

I own a product area end to end. I decide what we build next, in which order, and what we decline. Then I lead cross-functional teams to predictable delivery, bring new software to launch, and keep it improving after go-live.

An orange tree full of ripe fruit

三人行,必有我师。

“When three people walk together, one of them can be my teacher.”

This proverb is how I run product. Every plant manager, controller, salesperson and engineer in the room knows something I don't. My job is to listen, learn fast, and turn what I learn into a product that serves the next customer without being rebuilt.

How I work

Systematic leadership: ownership, steady delivery, and software that lasts beyond launch.

01

Entrepreneurial ownership

I treat the product as if it were my own company. I decide under incomplete information and make the trade-offs explicit afterwards: what I chose, why, and what it cost. I say no to requests that would turn the product into a one-off project.

02

Leading teams to stable delivery

I give teams a dynamic, well-refined backlog and requirements that are ready to build, complete, and clear about what is out of scope. With Scrum and SAFe practices and fast removal of blockers, teams ship working increments on a reliable rhythm.

03

Launching and maintaining new software

I take companies from vision and roadmap to go-live, then keep the product improving. User and stakeholder feedback flows straight back into the backlog, so a launch is the start of the product, not the end of the project.

04

From project work to standard product

I spot requirements that create technical debt or won't be reusable at the next customer, and shape them into general capabilities. That way today's customer project becomes tomorrow's standard product.

05

Between customers and engineering

Sales learns what can be sold and demoed today. Engineering gets requirements it can build without guessing. I keep both sides working from the same picture of the product.

06

Stakeholders as partners

A stakeholder map, consistent engagement and clear communication build trust from shop floor to C-level. Expectations are managed early, so conflicts are resolved before they slow delivery.

Building CLAIR with Clarius Group

Alongside my role at DNS:NET, I work freelance on CLAIR, a new software product from Clarius Group. It keeps me close to how young products are shaped: tight scope, fast decisions, and learning directly from early customers.

About CLAIR

Experience

A path from consulting to product

Economics and management at Humboldt-Universität, consulting at Ernst & Young, then full-stack training at WBS Coding School. That mix lets me read a business case and a technical design with the same care.

About me

Bridging East and West, customers and code

Hi, I'm Kim. I'm a product leader based in Berlin-Karlshorst. I feel a deep connection to my roots in China and consider it a gift to bring Eastern and Western thinking into how I lead.

People describe me as warm-hearted and direct. I'm curious about people: their thoughts, their constraints and how they make decisions. That curiosity is what makes me comfortable in front of customers from my first week, whether I'm talking to a plant manager, a controller or a CEO.

Outside work I write, do sports, and explore Berlin's food scene with friends. I'm passionate about philosophy, psychology and art.

My vision is to help build workplaces where people and organisations grow and reach their goals together.
